Our church comprises all types of people – all ages, different nationalities, from all walks of life, each with our own unique story and journey to faith. Together we are Bishop’s Stortford Baptist Church. Whatever your age, background, beliefs or current experiences you are very welcome here.
On most Sunday mornings we will sing some songs and hymns, listen to a reading from the Bible, listen to a great Bible-based talk and have a time of prayer for local and global issues. On some Sundays we will have a baptism and on the second Sunday morning of a month we share Communion together which is entirely voluntary. An offering is taken, but it is not compulsory. You are very welcome to stay for tea or coffee after the service and chat.
There are groups for all ages of children and youth. Youth Church also meets some Sundays.
‘The Psalms are not nice. But while they may not be pretty, they are honest.’ Psalm 58 is a plea for justice – for those made in God’s image who suffer due to the wickedness of others.
When he was in a dark place, David turned to God and reflected on his steadfast, relentless love – a love that changes us and brings us hope.
